Greg is a litigator and advocate. His main practice areas are commercial, construction and insurance litigation, including contract, negligence, product liability and mechanics' lien claims. He handles complex cases including class actions and commercial arbitrations. He represents individuals, corporations, organizations and governments.
Greg has a "Distinguished" Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Rating, a widely respected mark of achievement.
Greg has been selected by his peers for inclusion in the The Best Lawyers in Canada for each year from 2014-2020 in the practice areas of: Class Action Litigation, Construction Law, Corporate and Commercial Litigation and Insurance Law.
Greg was appointed Queen's Counsel in March 2020.
Greg is a member of the Law Society of Newfoundland and Labrador and the Canadian Bar Association. He received his law degree from the University of New Brunswick in 1988, was called to the Bar in 1989 and made Partner in 1995. He also received B.A., B.Ed. and M.Ed. degrees from Memorial University of Newfoundland in 1981 and 1984.
Greg is Chair of the Civil Litigation Section of the Law Society of Newfoundland and Labrador Bar Admission Course and an annual lecturer. He is also is a volunteer director of the Murphy Centre, a local charitable organization providing academic, career, employment and lifestyle education opportunities to participants.
